But who else are they going to bring in with a championship pedigree, Farrell? Eh I guess but considering how the clubhouse seemed to be on edge/run amok all the time I don't think that'll go any better. Are they going to trust a first-time manager with a win-now team?

Dusty's great at navigating a team through a long season. These short series though... he just has a real tough time with them(though Werth and Weiters were both BRUTAL last night.)

If I'm the Nats, I'm thinking about pressing the reset button to be honest. Trade Murph or Harper(maybe both). NL East is such a dumpster fire they'd probably still finish in first depending on what they got in return.

I think Baker is done.

Washington will probably panic this off-season, knowing that their window is closing with Harper and Murphy in the final year of their contracts, and they'll look for a new manager.

Yeah look what happened last time they tried that. For all his flaws, I do not think Baker is the issue with this team. Max Freaking Scherzer gave up 4ER tonight. It's the Curse of the Canucks, obviously.

Je me souviens.

Thank goodness. I was fully expecting the Nats to complete the comeback in the 9th with Murphy getting the walkoff...well screw you Murph, screw you Brycie, screw you Jayson Werthless, and screw you steroid boy Ryan Ziimmermann. I am thrilled they got knocked out once again.

Add Bob Carpenter and FP Santangelo to that list as well. Easily the worst announcing team in all of baseball. Dusty's dopey toothpick bothers me as well. Even Max Scherzer, whom I used to like a lot, seems have caught the douche-fluenza that surrounds that franchise. Them exiting again feels better than seeing the Yankees advance sucks.

Yeah, forgot about the announcers. LOL. Having nothing to do with the Nats losing but did anyone catch the postgame? Pedro telling Casey Stern "It's good to be a jew," and Casey Stern railing on what I believe was one of the questions of Bryce Harper by the media asking him what he thought of the upcoming series with the Dodgers and Cubs, and TBS essentially cutting him off by going to a commercial. It was surreal. LOL

I watched MASN on mute with the MLB At Bat app playing Howie/Lewin when I lived in Virginia. I didn't mind the delay to save my sanity.

I don't want to jinx anything, but nice start by Houston. Even though I hear talk about their owner being a jerk, I think they're the team I'm going to root for the rest of the way. Either them or the Cubs. I hate the other two.

I've always loved a good underdog story. Go Mets (2018). I know an underdog when I see one.

Justin Turner's four year hot streak continues with his seventh RBI of the postseason.

My response to Justin Turner becoming Justin Turner is somewhere between a shrug and "That's baseball, Suzyn!".
