He only played 2 games. He was signed July 1 for $125 K - which is slot for rounds 11-40. Made his debut July 16 (DH) and on July 17 was HBP, left the game and didn't play after that.
He described himself as "a hard-nosed player looking to get things done and help his team." and he had pitching to fall back on, so retiring after 2 games played seems odd. Could be injury related or maybe he didn't like the lifestyle of a minor leaguer.

The life of a Minor Leaguer is a very difficult one.
Yes, you are living a dream, but you are sacrificing A LOT for that dream. Vast majority don't even realize that dream and most of those that do, only realize it for a short time.
For some, it's too big of a sacrifice.
