Rookie maximums for at-bats (130), games pitched (30) or innings (50) in the major leagues"

If the 2 leaders are within 5% of each other, or the leader has less than 35% there will be a run-off between the top 2.
*Rosario ineligible
*Dom ineligible

P.S. don't stress too much if you feel player X deserves to be on this list vs. player Y. It's extremely unlikely someone not yet nominated would be win any given poll. Nominate those you see fit.

1) Andres Gimenez (SS) 12/27 votes-44%
2) David Peterson (LHP) 12/24 votes-50%
3) Mark Vientos (SS/3B) 13/24 votes-54%

OK, who's the joker who keeps voting for Flexen?

Went Alonso. Glove wasn't "this bad" pre-plumpage and the power is intriguing. He could be a total NP at this time next year or he could be our starting 1b.

I went Alonso here as well.

After him, I'm either on Szapucki or Guillorme. Probably Szapucki. After that, don't think the others even have more upside than Guillorme. Guilliorme's swing is handsy, needs to get more leverage into it. But I think it's definately improved from a couple of years ago and will continue to improve. Improving mechanics is what coaches are for. Get him to work with Long. Not sure you can teach his good hands, that allow him to make contact.

I like Alonso but I think Szapucki's the guy who should go here, even with TJ. It's close though.

I'd like to nominate Jordan Humphreys, please.

Alonso is the choice here at #4. Highly dangerous right-handed bat who hits for average and power. Highly dangerous in the field...to his own team. So much so that he could be rendered useless as a National League player. If he can get his defense to merely below average, he'll have a chance to unseat Dom Smith as the future first baseman.

Nomination noted. Humphreys will replace the winner of this poll.

I like Szapucki but even before the TJ there seemed to be a lot of "reliever" talk. With the TJ I have to lean Alonso vs. that kind of profile.

I was inclined towards Szapucki but he has way too many injury concerns and pitchers break.

It's just a sad situation where limited track record due to recently being drafted OR injured is the impetus for many of our perceived "top guys" being what they are. The "unknown" is more fun than the known.
