Rookie maximums for at-bats (130), games pitched (30) or innings (50) in the major leagues"

If the 2 leaders are within 5% of each other, or the leader has less than 35% there will be a run-off between the top 2. If a run-off results in a tie the tiebreaker will be vote total in the previous poll, we will continue to "go back" in the polls until there is a clear leader.
*Rosario ineligible
*Dom ineligible

P.S. don't stress too much if you feel player X deserves to be on this list vs. player Y. It's extremely unlikely someone not yet nominated would be win any given poll. Nominate those you see fit.
** Executive decision, pulled the plug early on #7. By having the polls begin in the morning it allows for a more lively discussion. Lindsay was running away with the vote.

1) Andres Gimenez (SS) 12/27 votes-44%
2) David Peterson (LHP) 12/24 votes-50%
3) Mark Vientos (SS/3B) 13/24 votes-54%
4) Peter Alonso (1B) 21/28 votes-75%
5) Thomas Szapucki (LHP) 10/22-45%
6) Justin Dunn (RHP) 4/20-20%, runoff with Lindsay/Guillorme/Kay 9/22-41%
7) Desmond Lindsay (OF) 12/26-46%
8) Luis Guillorme (SS) 8/25-32%, run-off with Kay 11/22-50%, advances due to more votes in previous poll

I think Guillorme went a few spots too early, otherwise the list is very good (and I'm a Guillorme guy, but not quite this soon). I've got the next 6 picked out - in no particular order.

Bashlor
Kay
Flexen
Nido
Cecchini
Mauricio

after that I'm highly undecided. Not even sure who to nominate. Is Christian James a consideration? Too soon? Uceta? Bautista? Molina? Conlon?

I'd push for a Mazeika nom before most of those guys

I have a hard time picking Kay in the top 20 of any list.
Coming back from a TJ surgery can go either way.

While he may have had some upside prior to the draft, we can’t expect him to have a mid 90s fastball. His projection is most likely a back end of the Rotation type of talent. 91 mph fastball, good change up, and decent breaking ball.

Maybe he’ll have some success and prove me wrong...

Kay, Bashlor, Oswalt the next three for me, but I've had to adapt to the masses...

None of mine were nominations just guys I'm considering, so if you want to nominate Mazeika, feel free. He's a good guy to nominate and I forgot about him. I think he's maybe in the late teens.

I went with Cecchini. Even though he looks like he profiles as lousy Major Leaguer, I have more confidence of him reaching and maintaining lousy Major League status than the rest of the guys on that list.

Nido might be the guy that sees the most time in the Majors though based on the quality of catchers in baseball these days.

I'm almost ready to put Evans alongside both Cecchini and Nido. Nido projects at this point to have the most defensive value of that group. But he hasn't hit for anything yet above A+ ball. Cecchini was bad this year, but good in AA and AAA the last 2 years, so he's at least shown something at upper levels (which I think is important).

Evans though was still decent this year after destroying AA last year. And he looked solid enough defensively at 3B. He has the lowest ceiling of those three, but if one of the other two had shown the same offensive polish this year, they'd be very nice prospects. Evans is more than a year older than Cecchini, though. For now I guess you still have to bet on Gavin more in the long run.

Alright, then I nominate Mazeika.

I like Mazeika better than Evans. I'm not sure the mets even protect Evans, but he's kind of a tough guy to rank. His bat and glove both looked OK but I still have a tough time projecting him as that good. I could see a decent backup but not much more. I like Maz a bit better cause if he can catch a little and hit a little, that's a fun combo.

I like Nido here.

He has considerable upside playing a premium position.
