Obviously you can't foresee, but my point is, are you paying Rosario+ for Ozuna's near past or longer range past because the price went up to serious risk levels in personnel.

He's an interesting guy, but I imagine he costs a bundle based on his 2017, and not his 2015-2016.

We will have to revisit this debate, same thread next year. LOL

Back to the topic...

Lagares, Dom Smith and any 3 of my top 10 to the Marlins for Yelich and Prado
Sign Hosmer Reed and McGee (or another LHP)
Pick up his option and trade AzCab
Tell Wilmer I love him and that he will get 500 ABs in 2018 if healthy- mostly at 2B
Keep Harvey - everyone needs a 5th starter with upside

1B Hosmer
2B Flores with TJ in reserve
SS Rosario
3B Prado
RF Conforto with Nimmo as needed
CF Yelich
RF Yo
C TDA/Plaw Platoon

and veteran utility guy who can alos play OF

Thor, DeGrom, Matz, Wheeler, Harvey with Lugo and Gsellman
Familia, Reed, Ramos, Blevins, McGee? and the next best guy

I'm not spending for a starter until June

They will choose whomever is more likely to stink/get hurt and surprisingly sign one of Davis or Holland while Morrow is dominant for someone.

I do think in general people are being too hard on Harvey. He was a great pitcher who got hurt and has had difficulty returning from injury. I don't think the hate he's gotten in some quarters is warranted. (And baseball wise I think it's foolish to give up on him at this point).

But I can also understand he doesn't always paint himself in the best light. When you do things like not show up to work, show up late, create unnecessary drama - I can see where people are less tolerable of bad performances. And he supposedly isn't always exactly the most friendly guy towards the media. I know many fans probably don't care about how Harvey treats the NYDN/NY Post reporter - but the media members are human too - and likely to be more harsh in their criticisms of players who don't treat them well.

I'd love him if he told Martino exactly what to do with a baseball bat.
and/or Puma

And I'd love him forever if he demonstrated on Sal Licata

Yeah it says Mets fans
a) have an inferiority complex and
b) don't deserve nice things

Sign Yu Darvish: 4 years, 88m (+22)
Sign Alex Cobb: 4 years, 64m (+16)
Sign Addison Reed: 3 years, 33m with a 4th year team option for 12.5m or a 1.5m buyout (+11)
Sign Jacob McGee: 3 years, 33m with a 4th year team option for 12.5m or a 1.5m buyout (+11)

That fixes the pitching. All of it.

deGrom, Syndergaard, Darvish, Cobb, and the Battle Royale for the 5th spot. Losers go to Syracuse/Vegas.

Familia, Reed, Ramos (grr), McGee is a good backend of the pen. Then pick 3 from the leftovers, losers go to Syracuse/Vegas/Binghamton.

Do I expect them to do any of this? Nah. We'll get Fernando Abad and maybe Alex Cobb if we're lucky. Whatever. Oh, and Todd Frazier. They'll sign Frazier. It literally screams of what this pathetic franchse does. Their big offseason additions will be Frazier, Cobb and Abad.

Cause ripping and going after fans on a fan message board always ends well.

We were asked nicely to end the Harvey discussion earlier in this thread, this whole personality tangent is OT except in relevance to what we would do with Harvey this offseason (non-tender/trade/put in the bullpen).
