Mets signed A.J. Griffin to a minor league contract. They’ve now got three guys who played at USD in camp with Griffin, Paul Sewald and P.J. Conlon.

Mehhhhh.

Not sure what having this guy in camp/in org does at all.

If they had to dip beyond the top 8 in season, the season is going to sh*t anyway, and would prefer Oswalt and Flexen than being tempted by this guy and his 86 mph heat from the right side.

He has long hair and thus he's a fit. Duh.

He's also going to get absolutely wrecked in Vegas. He's, I believe, the most homer-prone pitcher in baseball.

I looked at his numbers and the homers stood out. If he's not the most, he's up there, but small bonus, Citi isn't a homer friendly park, so . . . there's a chance.

I also applaud Sandy for signing a major league player to a minor league deal. Never a bad thing.

Giving up 36 homers in a good year in his prime in Oakland must translate to what, 61 homers in Vegas? Can 61 be our over-under?

It's a 5 month season, not 6, so lets say low to mid 50s.
