Yu doesn't seem like a big game pitcher AT ALL...He just shrinks when the time is needed.

I’m going to place the blame on top of Kershaw. If you’re allegedly one of the best pitchers out there you can’t be blowing 4-0 leads like he did a few games ago. He’s Mr. Goatface as far as I’m concerned

The Astros also know him. I wouldn't make any conclusions based on one series.

There's a lot of blame to go around for the Dodgers. But the Astros contained their big bats, and hit up and down the lineup, so that is worth a lot of credit.

Kershaw?! Darvish is the one who killed the Dodgers. And Roberts wore out his pen. Also Turner and Bellinger never got going. Still, they took it 7 games.

Yes sir! If Kershaw holds on to a 4 run lead given to him the Dodgers win the series. Again you're talking about the pitcher who many consider one of the best in the game if not thee best pitchers in the game. If you are you've got to win that game.

They just flat out didn't hit as well as the Astros. They had plenty of chances to blow up Game 7 but just blew them all.

This seems like overreaction theatre. He was money in his start in the DS and LCS. Was great in the 2012 WC card. Not great last year or in WS this year. Cumulative playoff career has a high ERA, low WHIP, and a 25/4 K/BB in 26 innings. Eh, seems like a process that more times than not leads to good results on the big stage.

No one is worth the money. That won't stop teams from throwing it at them.

He's good but not great... capable of a big game now and then. He def cost himself some money during the WS. He'll make out fine, but less than had he had 2 good starts. I'm not sure he gets more than what Samardzija got 2 yrs ago, or not much more, and he's a year older than JS was then. So, I'm thinking 5/95M.

I could see Arrieta commanding more bc of his durability. I could see him in the 5/120M range.

I think there's a lesson to be learned from the Astros. The Astros are built around an elite offense, not elite pitching. Pitching gets hurt. It ruins plans(any Met fan should know this).

The Astros had a below-average pitching staff this year. Now, adding Verlander helps in the playoffs, but the staff had a 96 ERA+ in 2017. They were about average, but a little below. The thing is, their offense was so far and away better than anyone else in the AL that it didn't matter.

And their lineup is under contract for two more years, with several guys even longer. They just need average-ish pitching to be a monster.

Every championship is built differently. It's all about maximizing run differential, and we keep learning that good players with flaws get exposed in the post season (i.e. homerun prone pitchers and strikeout hitters).

Just build the best team possible.
