I really want no part of Bruce going forward. He reminds me of a player from the 80's. A time when it was more realistic to see them severely get worse at 32/33 and on.

Thats crazy money for Nunez and Kintzler.

Agree. I think he's way over on all 3, and I don't see any of them coming here. Maybe Kintzler, but at half that $.

I like Bruce but not for 4-60. We couldn't give him away last year for 1-13 but now he gets 4-60? Nunez had a nice 2 months with the Redsox but I'd worry about projecting that going forward.

Kintzler gets 12.5 per year because????

Terrible predictions.

Bit of an exaggeration don't you think? 2.6 fWAR in 2016. Not saying I'd go nuts to sign him but he's had back to back solid seasons not "2 nice months".

$11m/year seems easily where Nunez is headed. He's younger and healthier than Walker - and don't we think Walker is getting 11?

Seems like a totally reasonable contract for a guy who has been worth 4.8 fWAR the past 2 seasons and is only 30. I wouldn't be eager to give him 4 years but that doesn't look wacky to me. Bruce 4 for 60 would make me ill.

One of the writers told me Bruce is looking for years over max AAV and doesn't want to keep moving around

Yeah, I may have been off on Nunez. He's been starter level since 2015. I didn't realize his 2016 was split between two teams when I checked his war by season.

But if Bruce wants 4 years and he'll take 4-40, I'd consider that.

I can't see Nunez getting more than Cabrera money. Something like 3/24 would be a max imo.

Any time you apply rational thought to a free agent contract, you're doomed to failure.

Maybe, but I don't think he'll get that rich a deal. He doesn't walk and is very BA dependent, and very GB heavy. mlbtr has Nunez at 2/14M. I could def see him getting a 3rd yr tho. I had 3/27, so that's kinda splitting the difference. Seems like a high-contacty Royals kind of guy to me. I could see him at 3B in KC for the next couple of years.
