Injury prone? He’s hardly missed time in his career.

My expectations were lowered after watching him last season. Wasn't a fan of his focus on the field. Plate discipline was as bad as I've ever seen. Good raw skills but needs to pull it together. I'm not sure hanging around Jose Reyes and Asdrubal Cabrera is the best thing for a young player that needs to focus on the game but we shall see.

I think he will be solid but I don't think we're talking about a 4 or 5 WAR player any time soon.

Not being a 4 or 5 win player right away wouldn't be a failure.

At this stage, it's prob fair to expect something in the Andrus or Arcia range or maybe Segura. Was prob not fair to expect him to be the next Lindor.

I'm talking in 2 or 3 years even. I'm fully expecting less than 2 in 2018.

Kipnis has hit 6 in a week. Spring Training just started!!

When he hits number 74 this summer dinner is on Barry. :)

Injury prone bust and lowered expectations for Rosario already. There's happy hour going on somewhere in the world folks.

Of course -but 5 HRs in a 5 week stretch is hardly some superhuman feat (re: Cuddyer). Whether it means something or nothing, Kipnis banging out 6 in 17 ABs is crazy.

John Buck hit 9 homers in like 90 AB one April. Best month a Met catcher has had post-Piazza.

This was the mystery pitcher I compared to AJ Ramos.

Yep, same strata for me. Very comparable.

Yes, and I remember a certain subset of NYFS posters who were convinced that he had changed his approach and this was a new normal. It was not.

Valid point, certainly. And a good spring is better than a bad one, but really the only hope I have anymore is that "my guys" get through its entirety unscathed and ready for the season.

Very interesting...

it's still a 5 man rotation, but the 5th day is a "bullpen" day...curious to see how this works out for them.
