We have our first BSOHL. This one's from Noah:

“For example, last year, I was doing a lot of pull-ups which is primarily a lat exercise. This year, I haven’t done a pull-up yet. It’s different, it’s still taxing workouts, but I have never felt better.

Callaway on Yoenis:

“He seems like a good dude,’’ Callaway said. “He looks different this year, he looks good.’’

Hey half the battle was keeping a competitive team going last year when you literally lose all of your key players. I've at least liked how they seek to have a much better plan going into the season

I think that should be the bolded part. Taxing workouts? So he's not working on his lats, what is he working on then that's taxing that's going to cause undue stress on another part of his body? Workouts are not supposed to be "taxing" me thinks.

What's the better plan? Hoping that the players won't get hurt?

We are really encouraged,” his agent, Scott Boras, said. “Matt was out at our sports fitness institute this past two weeks and the ball was really coming out of his hand at Matt Harvey levels of the past, so we’re really excited about what 2018 holds for him.”

They pretty much overhauled the training department and brought in a pitching guru to help this staff...I'm sure they are trying their best to be preemptive and keep these guys as healthy as they can (even more then previous years)..

I think piazzafan’s question remains: are you positing then that is the last the Mets didn’t try/hope to keep players healthy? That the plan was to de emphasize player health?

Of course they tried before...it seems funny to ask such a question in the first place...we all know the Mets training staff was the laughing stock of the league. They finally did something about it this offseason, trying new things...you know, the things many posters here whine about with this team.

If Matt Harvey transformed back into the Dark Knight, we'd be the division favorites.

The Gnats are still a tough team, but I like our chances a lot better with 3 aces. Harvey's got to be motivated too, with it being a walk year for him.
