Mickey Callaway really likes using oodles of minor leaguers.

Arnaldo Berrios, Jeff McNeil and LJ Mazzilli are now standing left to right in the outfield.

Gerson Bautista is handling the pitching.

Seems like there are more obscure guys playing now than in the past, but I think it speaks to the clear lack of org. talent in the A/AA/AAA ranks outside of who is in camp.

Champ Stuart probably the most prominent name we haven't seen yet.

Looks like Kyle Regneault, who was on the roster today, won't throw after all.

I take it Molina didn't look any better than he did over the weekend. I was surprisingly underwhelmed how bad his stuff was.

Think AA to start for Gerson Bautista? He was pretty lights out in St. Lucie after the trade.

Drew Gagnon is the replacement. Booooo.

Boy, we were desperate for anything resembling a "relief prospect" last year when people liked McGowan. He is the definition of "org arm."

Hopefully we're saying the same thing soon regarding the OF and starting pitching in the minors!

Is it too early to get excited by Bautista and Bashlor?

Along with Guillorme, maybe the farm isn't totally barren after all.

Lets put it this way, people will say "ST JUST STARTED!!!" yet cite Wheeler and Thor's velocity. Molina's FB is below average for an MLB P. Doesn't mean he can't "make it" but he's not the next big thing like some felt a few years ago (not unless suddenly the stuff returns).

No. I pointed this out about a week ago: the Mets are pushing him into the radar of beat writers. Somebody up high thinks he's special, and thinks he's a name to know now.
