I'm surprised Adrian Gonzalez hasn't been sent to Minor League Camp. Probably just waiting for Smith To Get Healthy.

Finally Roseboom might get into a game!

And nice that Nimmo is getting some real run here. Hopefully he continues to turn heads the rest of the way.

Amed Rosario says he still feels "a little something" in his left knee. He'll meet with a Mets doctor today for a reevaluation, because he experienced discomfort trying to run on it yesterday. "It's a little bit difficult," Rosario said.

Nice to have Guillorme around, though I assume this would mean Reyes is the OD SS.

Not sure why Ty Kelly gets at bats when Reyes and Guillorme are here.

Yeah, they really should be using these older LOOGy types as the "extra" arms right now and hope to find something. Even if not for OD, what if Blevins goes down, which seems assured to happen at some point given the dependence that will be put on him?

Roseboom was awful last spring, but who knows. But between he, Regnault, Griset..

Do I have confidence in any of these guys? Absolutely not. But if the approach is "we can just find a LOOGy internally", I don't know why you'd limit it to just 2 of these types versus all available options. There's nothing that says Purke or Conlon is any better of a bet than these guys. None of them have anything approaching "plus stuff" so its just about deception and arm angles.

I thought there was some notion that a number of lefties would be 40-man casualties on other teams later in the spring. That there was some hope to snag one or two of those.

Again, in theory this is great.

But why would it be different than how we approached the very affordable majors-leaguers-who-signed-minor league FA deals? Its not like we were balking at that market because of cost. So then what changes?

Adrian Gonzalez in the middle of the lineup? I'm assuming they're trying to get him going with some hittable pitches.

Last 2 seasons Ben Griset vs. lefties 37.2 innings 18 hits 13 walks 34 k's, walks are obviously too high and K-rate isn't sexy but 37.2 innings 18 hits is pretty impressive.
