I like everything Nimmo offers the Mets but I was he could be less dramatic with pointing up to the sky.

I hope he gets a fair shot this April to make a statement. We already know what we have with Gonzalez and Lagares, although he's supposedly found the cure for his swing.

Long relief tryout scenario here for Lugo. Coming in to get out of a jam, then likely asked to go multiple innings.

Vargas didn't make it thru 3 but as slug suggests, perhaps this is by design.

He was around 50, probably just hit his limit.

Mostly cruised until the 3rd and Frazier didn't do him many favors.

Looked decidedly Vargas-ish.

I have some confidence the Mets will be able to round out their bullpen coming out of ST. Lots of intriguing options. I know a lot of people lost sleep over this over the winter, but they have a chance to be decent. The LH pitcher thing is an issue, but I'd be okay having a RHP that can actually get out LH hitters in the 6th inning.

Is Lugo factoring into the bullpen mix? I have to think he is - would be nice to have a guy that can throw 2-3 innings in relief. Keith would love it - the Long man! haven't had one of those since Pat Mahomes...or what it Darren Oliver?

Maybe, just maybe, Robles will finally pitch his way off of this team. One can only hope.
