I was all for Ramos when he was a FA but he has been pretty bad. I'd stay away at this point.

I did read in one of the articles this morning that he does have an option left, but he can refuse it if he wants to. A switch to bullpen seems likely for Harvey when Vargas returns, with Gerson going back to the minors. But when Swarzak eventually returns, I'm not sure who will get demoted. I guess management would have to decide between cutting Reyes or Ramos. Or sending Wheeler back to Vegas?

Throw him in the pen. If he balks, DFA. The 40 spot is more important than his awful production and he's never re-signing here. He's a liability every time he goes out and starts.

If he balks you file a grievance with MLB and the union. He only has the right to turn down a minor league assignment. He doesn't have the right to turn down a change to the bullpen.
