And that's another thing. You've been here forever, so you get wy more leeway than most with your snarky comebacks.

Maybe I'm biased because I've been here since basically 2.0 launched and Nitey and I have been posting together 13 years, but I love Nitey. I love his thoughts on baseball. I love his opinions. I may disagree wholeheartedly with them, but I respect the hell out of the man.

Does he ever support them with evidence or even an argument? Or is it just Mr Shades emoji?

On the rare occasion that he provides details he shows that he has some insight, but usually it’s just snark and sunglasses emoji

He likes a certain type of player.
Athletic, speedy, toolsy, "pure" types. You know the type.

Alonso is... uh... not. Any of those. He's probably average at 1b, and looks pretty bad doing it (he's not graceful), not speedy, and not toolsy. He is, however, extremely good. Probably better than Duda (150 wRC+ as we speak)

He does. He used to more often, but for some reason Sandy's FO really turned him off, and I never quite understood that.

He’s a 1Bman.

That's why he prefers Dom. Because Dom is athletic and speedy and toolsy, oh nevermind

Counterpoint: Nitey may have been Wilmer's biggest fan.
