Tying run at 3rd with 1 out. Winning run at first. Not looking good.

Welp, we aren't the only team that can't close a game. Tied up. Winning run on 2nd with 2 outs.

Cubs lose. Mets are 2.5 behind them, 3.5 behind the Brewers.

I bet it comes down to the Mets and Brewers.

Not a chance IMO. Brewers are going to overtake the Nats for the #1 spot. As long as the Mets win out, yes improbable, it will be between the Mets, Cubs, and the Nats for the second spot

Brewers have a "Destiny's Darlings" look to them right now.

The Nationals have 4 games coming up against the Phillies. That puts them in a good spot to secure the top spot :D

This Reds series won't be easy.

Castillo vs. deGrom
Desclafani vs. Wheeler
Matz vs. Bauer

Castillo is nasty. Luckily we have Jake going against him. Desclafani has been solid down the stretch. We need the good Wheeler to show up. And Bauer is no cake walk. Still don't understand why Cleveland traded him, being in a pennant race.

They have a ton of arms, and this might have been a case of addition by subtraction.

Well sounds good in theory but the Phillies are in the exact same position the Mets are. For them their season rests on what happens in Cleveland these next three games. Zero reason to think they wouldn’t play the Gnats tough
