Brewers 2-0 top 4. They are putting lots of runners on base. Could be a lot worse.

3-1 Brewers. Padres threatening with runners on. Lyles and his slider he throws every pitch are out of the game after just 4 2/3. Brewers not taking chances.

Hosmer Ks to end threat.

It's 5-1 Brewers now, and they're on a way to winning to this game.

Brewers win. They are now .5 games up on second wild card, 1 game behind the Nats, and 2.5 behind Cards. I'm willing to bet they overtake the Nats with their easy schedule and possibly take their own division - depending on how the 7 games the Cubs and Cards have against each other go. We are currently 4 games behind the Nats with 10 to go. Ugh.

The Brewers won and the Cubs are getting a little desperate: Anthony Rizzo is in the lineup, he's supposed to be in a walking boot.

Rizzo homers ala Kirk Gibson. Tie game 1-1.
