Pete's parents appear to be really impressive and earnest, kind people. Not surprising.

Super good call by Fox to be doing a live, in-game interview with a Braves pitcher while Pete is busy breaking the HR record.

After the excitement of the record-breaker, (before the on-field emotion), I was just thinking "why couldn't it have been a GKR night!?" Dallas Keuchel was being interviewed, so it was kinda doubly-awkward. Though he WAS talking about having given up the tying HR the night before, so sorta fitting?

Anyway, it's something special. Special player, special kid, and someone who should prove to be an extremely worthy heir to the beloved fan fav throne David Wright left when he retired.

GET. A. BULLPEN. BRODIE.

Pete made the season worthwhile. Setting the kinds of records Mets don’t set
