A lot has happened in the past two weeks.

Welcome to our new manager. I like this hire.

I can't believe you didn't lead with Erasmo Ramirez......

Always on point, Nitey. LOL - thanks for the laugh.

I actually think they dodged a bullet after rumors of Dusty Baker cropped up. I could have conceived of the Wilpons doing something like that, and I think it would've been a poor choice. I still go back to Showalter as my best case, but I can't complain about a guy who's grinded through almost every minor league to get to this point. If Rojas isn't ready now, he never will be. And surprisingly, I'm cautiously optimistic about the coming year.

Good to be back (I was a little worried for a couple of weeks there). Agree with Penns about being cautiously optimistic on the team for 2020 (and on Rojas). Interesting that the Stros ended up with Dusty.

Felt weird not to be able to come here to check on the news especially with so much going on, seems like NYFS might be on its last legs.

Heard good things about Rojas. Likable guy. Seems like a solid choice.

One of my favorite moves of the last several years. He is a great guy, a heck of a mind and effuses joy and respect for the game. Had a great conversation with him over breakfast when we happened to stay at the same hotel in Greenville when they were playing the Drive. Players sidled up to his table naturally as they came in over the course of 45 minutes or so.

Very cool! I remember you being a big fan and when the hire was made I thought, bet ya jd is happy! Very cool.

When running a baseball team, I’m of the opinion the more Alous you hire, the better the team will be. On top of that, he has experience in the minors, he has experience in the majors, he’s put in his time for the organization, and he’s not Dusty Baker. Great hire.

Me, too. IS that OK to say? Rojas has actual managerial experience, albeit not at the Major League level, but experience nonetheless. And he seems to be revered by the players in the organization.

Players seem VERY happy.

Skeptics would feel better if his last name was "Alou". Relatedly, I look forward to the Rojas-Alou discussion during every single national broadcast during his tenure. It'll be the "Ryan Fitzpatrick plays with his wedding ring!" of 2020.

LGM.
