Tear in calf muscle. I’d rather Peterson to Oswalt or Lockett.

I thought Lockett was injured also. Seems like an opportunity for Peterson.

I can’t keep up anymore. I wouldn’t mind Lugo either given the shortened season, but I doubt the Mets go that route.

I've been pretty averse to moving Lugo to the rotation given how essential he was to the bullpen, but it might be necessary at this point, no?

I really want Peterson to succeed, but people might be getting overly optimistic. Also can't say I'm thrilled with what I've seen from Porcello.

A tear in his calf muscle? That sounds like he could miss this season.

Super minor setback. Not even slightly worried. More time consuming than anything. Threw a 55 pitch bullpen on Monday and felt great. Only feel it when jogging and sprinting. However, must be able to run at full speed when competing. Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes!

In related news, Kay makes the Jays OD roster.

Vargas + Kay were already better than Stro last year, now Kay will add to that while Stro is sidelined. it was always going to be a bad long term deal with giving up 12 yrs of control for Kay and SWR for 1.5 of Stroman - now it looks more like .5 years of Stroman when he wasn't even very good and they were in "contention" for like a week of it, when Stroman was pitching poorly anyway.

BVW continues to impress. Who's ready for the Peterson + Josh Wolf for Danny Duffy deal "to replace Stroman"?
