 Post subject: observation on fan culture

It may be the advent of sportstalk and the 24 hr sportsmedia, but I sometimes get the sense that fan culture is changing. It used to be that fans would deeply enjoy a win, and a championship season and would take time to savor it.

Now it seems to be the responses even to a win is more jaded. If a team wins, the responses tend to be, "we won, but".. , or "they should have won, so what",etc

Or even when a good team loses a game, the responses are more of tear up the team, I knew they were not good, etc..

whatever happened to just enjoying the games as a temporary repast from the pressures of 21st century living??
