negative pesters. those that always say a player is done. whip is an indication that so and so is getting worse.
i can't watch this team. the team is a joke.
this guy can't hit. we pay 20 mil for this?

i think these comments during an igt are pathetic. i think the already going to lose posts are pathetic.
i would like an igt with at worst not such negative crap.
it's depressing and baseball is not fantasy baseball. depression from negative posting stinks!
sometimes i want to throw this computer out the window. i have not in my close to 43 years seen such fair weather what have you done for me lately m and md, joe beningo type people.
they should have their own thread and even their own section!

negativity is frustrating. It's been a frustrating season.

But it does take away from the community aspect if we censor viewpoints.

I mean, at least the negativity is somewhat justified. It's not like the negativity in 2006 which was mindblowing.

The problem isn't positivity or negativity.

The problem is whining. For example, starting a thread talking about "what haters deserve" seems to me to be whining and sniping for a conflict. Starting a thread about how "people were positive last year we'd get into the playoffs and look where that got us!" is whining.

It's very easy to know when something we write is intended to cause conflict or get under people's skin. What we need to do is avoid those circumstances, not "avoid negativity." The idea isn't to reject certain emotions, it's to reject the idea that we should negatively impact other folks with those emotions.

This is the time of year where it's all on the line. Of course we all know what happened last year, but this is a new year. But a select group of posters are becoming incredibly annoying.

When the team blows a game or suffers a tough loss, the IGT's are unreadable.

"There's the season."
"It's all slipping away again..."
"Phils are gonna win this division."
"This team is a disgrace"

And those where just from today's loss...I can go on, but I won't. And, despite what Chinabox said, this is not "whining." NYFS is supposed to be a different kind of site/board. It's supposed to be a place where you can watch your favorite team lose a game and not have to read other posters make these "feel sorry for me because I'm a melancholy Mets fan" posts.

I come to this site with the expectation that it is a cut above other boards. Let's keep that standard high, OK (users and mods)?

what about posters from a competing city coming here for no other purpose that to get a rise out of us?

saying things that are nasty or even things that are not appropriate while addressing a lady?

a poster did that a few weeks ago, and then comes back tonight to gloat.

and since i said something he is trying to find out what my name means or "insults" me.

i realized to shut up, but still!
