....for Manny Ramirez, Tim Lincecum, Joe Nathan, and Rich Harden?

I know Harden is out indefiently.

I'm about 15 off the pace in games used at relief pitcher so Nathan is potentially the biggest piece.

My staff would then be:

Bedard
Ollie P.
Linceum
Buehrle
Hudson

My lineup would then be:

INF
Mauer
D. Lee
Castillo/Utley
Hanley
Braun

OF
Bonds
Manny
Granderson
Figgins

UTIL
Bay/Dunn/Glaus/Victorino

How many teams are in that league?

I'm assuming that the league is a keeper? If it is, I definitly think you do that deal. A single player in Fantasy doesnt make a team IMO. You get a perennial slugger (even if he is on the downslide), two potential aces, and a top flight closer for the 2nd best lefty in the game. Lincecum and Harden arent as good as Johan individually, but if the league is a H2H then that definitly gives you the advantage because, if both healthy, you get twice the amount of innings, twice the amount of Ks, and double your chances at getting a W compared to only having Johan....then throw in Manny AND Nathan!

Go for it!

It's a 10 team keeper league but we only get to keep four players. It's standard scoring and not h2h.

Well, since you only keep 4 players, you may not want to do it. Because in a 10 team league and do to health and aging circumstances (Harden and Manny), I dont think any of those 4 would be retained (that is probably why he is offering them) so maybe keeping Johan would be a smart choice.

I wasn't planning on keeping any four of them anyway. The owner offering me the trade knew this. He was trying to help me load up for a championship run while I would be giving him a bonafied keeper option because he is pretty weak amongst his keepers.

I would then keep Bedard, Utley, Mauer, and Hanley, maybe Braun.

I just can't see myself trading Santana in the first place but this offer at least made me think twice.

Gotchya.

Being able to keep Johan and Bedard is just ridiculous though and you have so many young players on offense to choose from. Honestly, knowing now that you only keep four guys, I wouldnt trade Johan. You can gurantee yourself the top 2 lefties in the game (and arguably the top 2 pitchers overall) + 2 of the best young position players (Hanley and Utley) who play at positions where having strong offensive numbers can make a huge difference (SS and 2nd).

Whether you make the trade or not, I dont think you can go wrong. Either way you are going to have a young, loaded team IMO.

Good luck!
