The Rays just proposed a trade that ... I'm torn on.

Ben Zobrist for Wright, Atchinson and $3m. He's got player options for 2014/2015 at 7m and 7.5m, while Wright, as we know, has a HUGE deal.

Obviously from a pure baseball POV, this is a total no brainer deal, I have to do it, 100% of the time. I have Wilmer in the majors at 2b (he's hitting so so crappy, lol), and I could move him to 3b and put Zobrist at second.

But... I mean, it's David Wright. Face of the franchise. Lifelong Mets fan, supposed to be lifelong Met.

What do I do?

I could never do that deal because I <3 Wright....but it would make sense to give you tons of payroll flex...

And if zobrist walks at year end? What wright do you have the player who can hit 30 and drive in 120 with a 300 avg or the 20 hr 280 version?

This game doesn't follow "real" contracts? Zobrist has team options in real life.

The game does follow real life contracts, but the people who make it are only human, they get stuff wrong.

Zobrist autocorrects to sobriety on my IPad future device. Haha.

I don't get the intense Zorilla love. Good player but I think the advanced metrics give him too much credit. WAR must love his versatility.

I keep Wright, send Wilmer down to AAA, and get a real glove for 2b to eat up them grounders.

How is ootp this year? Had it last year and it was pretty awesome, but I find it tough to shell out the coin for essentially updated rosters.
