See if you can trade Weaver for some home-runs. You could slot Cain in for him. I like Cain better than Weaver.

I think Dave Bush might have a good year so he could become your other Pitcher.

I usually will go through the draft results, look for someone I like who was drafted late by another team (hoping they don't value him as much as I do), and then try to steal him away. Pretty obvious and probably not a very helpful answer, but see if a big power guy like Thome, Dunn, etc. slipped a little later than they should have and see what it takes to get them.

Either that or go for a lesser talent like a Rios, Baldelli, etc. and hope for a breakout.

Also, get into the NYFS league!

That's really good advice. And for a 14-team league, your team looks pretty solid.

To contrast (and I don't feel like starting a new thread), I'm in an 8-team league and this is what my roster looks like:

C- J. Mauer
1B- D. Lee
2B- J. Kent
3B- A. Ramirez
SS- H. Ramirez
OF- M. Ramirez (Yeah, I'm toying with re-naming my team Team Ramirez)
OF- J. Pierre
OF- A. Dunn
Util- A. Laroche
Util- B. Bonds
Util- A. Beltre
Util- J. Drew
Bench- M. Giles
Bench- R. Aurilia

SP- J. Santana
SP- M. Cain
SP- Jered Weaver
SP- R. Harden
SP- T. Glavine
RP- H. Street
PR- T. Gordon
P- J. Patterson
P- T. Hudson
BN- A. Wainwright
BN- R. Soriano
BN- Matt Garza

This is an 8-team keeper (I think we're keeping some big number- like eight).

I had the 4th pick overall and I was hoping for Reyes to fall to me, but he went 2nd and I took Johan instead. I opted for Manny over Vlad then drafted Mauer in the 3rd round and reached for Hanley in the 4th (I wanted to make sure I got him if I missed out on Reyes). I didn't plan on drafting Bonds but I already had all my primary needs covered when I picked him (and prefaced it with a 'I'm only doing this because I play to win the game').

I like the potential of my starters. Cain and Harden have a chance to be really good this year, IMO. Hopefully Weaver can turn in a solid sophmore season, and I wouldn't be surprised if Tim Hudson had a nice bounce-back year. And between Wainwright, Patterson, and Garza, I'm hoping at least one has a big breakout year, Patterson being the most likely candidate. I could see myself having to keep 5 or 6 of these guys next year.

All in all I think I have head-and-shoulders the best team in the league if everyone plays close to form. Has anyone come across a better looking fantasy team so far this season?
