Righthander Dygestile-Therrien is a bit of a project but has the size and clean arm scouts look for in a pitching prospect.

His first name is nearly my last name - Danish. Jessen.

Gotta root for him!

Then if you married him, his name would be Jesen Jessen.

Not that there's anything wrong with that....

Yeah, that would be interesting considering they both mean "son of Jens" (which may loosely translate son of "John")

or in English--

Quote:
The Netherlands were able to close the gap by scoring a run of their own in the bottom of the first off JNT starter Jesen Dygestile-Therrien (Montreal, QC). However, the game was blown wide-open in the 2nd inning when Dailey and Pompey went back-to-back, each hitting homeruns to left field. Dailey’s was a three-run shot that saw the ball clear the scoreboard in left and land on the street. Pompey’s homerun left the park in a hurry and brought the crowd to its feet for the second time in as many at-bats.

“It was a 2-0 count, so I was trying to put a good swing on the ball,” said Dailey of his homerun. “It was a fastball up and I hit it good.”

After the offensive outburst Therrien took over on the mound and was virtually untouchable the rest of the way. Therrien’s outing saw him pitch 6 innings, where he gave up 2-runs on 4 hits, 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. The Netherlands other run came on a solo homer in the 6th inning.

“It’s not easy for a young kid to go out there and deal with everything,” explained Hamilton. “I was glad we were able to go out (in the first 2 innings) and get those runs for him.”

Boooooooo no it's not, it's in Montreal. It's where Gagne and Russ Martin went. No respect for the 514.

Did not sign again. I guess he wants to get drafted a bunch of times like Jeff Walters and Xorge Carrillo
