Put this in perspective....
The Mets have signed 15th-rounder Phillips Evans For $650,000. That's the highest bonus ever paid by New York outside of the first two rounds, and represents the equivalent of supplemental first-round money.

If I am the Mets I am telling Evans you are a 2nd baseman starting now. I hate the crap where you make someone play a position they won't play at the MLB level until AA or AAA then people wonder why they aren't good at a position when they come up

Since the GCL season is about over, I agree with you, have the kid come to instructional league as a second baseman and that's it.
