Quote:
11) New York Mets (Garrioch): A month ago, I would have never suspected both Sean Manaea and Ryne Stanek would be here for the Mets. That works in the favor of the Mets. Most picks at this level need to be top of the rotation guys and are counted on heavily. This isn't the case here. The pick will be behind other Mets pitching prospects Matt Harvey, Zach Wheeler and Noah Syndergaard. That takes pressure off and may allow Ryne Stanek, RHP, Arkansas to reach his potential.

Manaea or Stanek would be fantastic but I don't anticipate them falling. Still have a ways to go but I feel like Appel, Gray, Manaea, Stanek, Meadows, Frazier, Bryant, and Wilson are pretty decent bets to go before our pick.

Really surprised to see Ziomek going that high in Sickels' mock.

I don't like Moran very much.

Jonathan Crawford's stock has gone the opposite way I predicted it would. Jonathan Gray is the name that is really taking off right now. I don't see any chance of him falling to 11, but that would be a sweet pick.

Has Austin Wilson sliding way down to 21. The injury is hurting his stock but I'd still be interested in taking him at our pick.

Wilson would be an inspired risk pick.

Almost no chance that happens.

I love Bryant but yeah, no chance. He's the consensus top college hitter in the draft.

Hawkins, as everyone got sick of knowing was my guy from the start last year. Obviously, Sandy did not get my memo.

Dominic Smith or bust this year. If he's available and Sandy passes this year, I will call for his head.

I would be more calling for DePodesta's head if that's the case for you.

I'd be thrilled to add Stanek.

Matt Harvey will end up the best college pitcher from the 2010 draft.
