I picked who I thought was the next best player after Buxton; that's Correa. I'm not crazy for the top three college arms. Zunino is the only one I gave strong consideration to as an alternative choice but I don't like him as much as I do Correa anymore.
I knew this was the pick from the first minute. You need to learn to lie better lol

Nice pick. Montero is probably a 1b/DH going forward.
MikeH and the Orioles are on the clock. Mike has until 2:30 PM tomorrow to make his pick.
As much as I hate the idea of "pick for need" I was leaning towards hitting with this pick considering how pitching deep the M's already are. But I had Buxton, Correa and Zunino 1,2,3 on my board regardless. Hopefully Zunino gets signed quick and into some full season ball this year and moves quickly next season to catch up with Hultzen, Paxton and Walker.
So I'm going to take into account a bit of what I've read as "team tendencies" a bit here, as most experts connect KC to college arms this year and I assume they rely on some insider knowledge there.
Since the beginning of this draft has been a bit off from the way the "experts" have been mocking, I feel like there are a few guys who could lay the claim to "BPA" (and perhaps could have at even earlier selections) and the guy who I would take lines up nicely with who I also think the experts might select for KC here, so I'm going to go with:
Kevin Gausman, RHP, THE Louisiana State University
