Apparently a good reliever for USD before the transfer (occured maybe a week before the season). Although, reliever in CBB means 70 innings despite the shortened season.

The Southampton Breakers dominated the Riverhead Tomcats on Sunday, thanks to stellar pitching and an aggressive offense.

A star player in the Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League and an 18th round draft pick of the New York Mets as of last week, pitcher Paul Paez only let off one run. Paez, of Rio Hondo Junior College, went all nine innings, striking out 11. The left-hander's record for the season is now 3-0, according to hamptonsbaseball.com.

This summer so far in the Atlantic Collegiate Baseball League, Paez has a 1.09 ERA and a 5-0 record. In 33.0 innings, he's surrendered 17 hits and 14 walks while striking out 47.
