I think we splurge on either Ramirez or Bonfield.

I thought Bonfield tweeted something like "It'll cost a lot to get me to say no to college". He's not in the McKinney stratosphere, but he's upper troposphere numbers.

Ramirez might be possible if his demands aren't too high. Now, I think he's a longshot, but if I was to guess

ramirez - 5%-10%
Bonfield - 1%
McKinney - 0.001%
and maybe Tommy Pincin has a shot. Another 1% maybe 2%.

None of those guys are likely I think. Ramirez, being the first of them picked, might be the most possible.

‏@AdamRubinESPN Alderson says first-round pick Michael Conforto should be signed within days, although still process to go. Third-round pick close to done.

Hard to tell, but might the FO push the envelope and pay the tax to get some of the pipe dreams signed. Doesn't seem they are saving much money where I thought they might...

Don't the Mets lose next year's 1st rounder if they go too far overslot? I thought I read something to that affect.

If they go 6% over pool then yes they lose a pick but they can spend 5% over and just pay 75% tax on the overage... the Mets should be willing to do this every single year.
