Well?

:-k

Mize and Bart don't count -- They seem to be the consensus top 2 and definitely won't be available when the Mets pick.

But everyone else seems to be a possibility

Haven’t you heard? Mets are outsourcing their 1st round pick this year (India).

Jdawgs picks (in order of preference)...I assume Bart, Singer, Madrigal, Bohm and Mize are gone by #6

1. Carter Stewart
2. Matt Liberatore
3. Nolan Gorman
4. Shane McClanahan
5. Ryan Weathers
6. Jonathan India
Travis Swaggerty

But the key world is 'should'.

Madragal
Stewart
Liberatore
India
Kelenic

If India goes #5 I think the Mets could go any direction they please and get a solid player.

We should already be able to save a half-mill on whoever we take at this spot, maybe you could squeeze out another half-mill by going with Scott, but I'd rather eat that and go with the safer pick in Kelenic. This is not completely unrelated to the fact I feel this FO would ultimately end up wasting a lot of the value that comes with a 70-grade burner.

I like the mocks that have him ending up in TB. He's local, they have a track record of developing athletes, and who knows, they may even let him take a turn at the mound if he pushes for it.

Madrigal is the guy I want the most. But he will most likely be gone along with Bart. I have no issue with India as the pick as he seems like he is solid all around with a bit of a power surge this year. I do want a bat at 6 though regardless of if its a HS or college player.

Interesting you have Swaggerty first. I'm almost positive Bohm and Bart are off the board when we get there...

Swaggerty has all the tools to be a good everyday player. I really hope he’s there at 6. Doubtful but thats the dream.
