So we were under our bonus pool by 154,000 and 100,000 doesn't count against pool after 10th round correct? So 250,000 or so is good, and the other 750,000 counts against us. So if I subtract that from Kay's slot of what 1.9 million he still likely gets 1.2? Math correct?

We were over by 154,000. Nevermind.

Don't you mean the black? Kay's signing gives us nearly a $1 m to spend right?

Scratch that...didn't know Planck had signed.

Given the size of his bonus, I wonder if they'd consider starting him in Columbia next year.

? Why would 2nd round bonus mean he skips 3 levels to begin his pro career?

Because second round high school picks sometimes start their first year after being drafted in full season ball. Lindsay likely would have if not for the injuries. Dominic Smith and Michael Fulmer did as first round picks.

My opinion, I think they overpaid for Planck. His motion (saw video) looked a bit effort driven to me. Do people expect him to be really good? I see a Wotell level/top 20 prospect type, not a million dollar arm, but, I'd love to be wrong on this. Any thoughts on his upside?

He's 18. There's certainly reason to believe they can clean up his mechanics.
