Also, this guy is already 23.

I can't even say anything snarky because MJ>U's been on my side the whole draft.

I'm gonna go make more Get Smart jokes in the Maxwell Kuhns thread.

I guess small middle infielders are the new market inefficiency.

He and Paez seem like the sort of athletic players from major college programs that this regime hasn't taken till now. Can throw Tiberi and Woodmansee into that group. Am I missing anyone over the past 5 years? Not talking about un- or semi-athletic types like Jared King or Oberste or Plaw. Matt Reynolds?

Quote:
Sergakis himself prefers the term ‘dirtbag,' and takes the term as a compliment rather than an insult.

Quote:
Sergakis stands very close to the plate, and as a result, he is regularly brushed back—intentionally or unintentionally—or hit by pitches—intentionally or unintentionally. In 2016, he was hit 18 times in 238 at-bats, good for second most in the NCAA Big 10 Conference. In 2015, he was hit 12 times in 176 at-bats. The right-hander takes it all in stride, wearing his bruises as marks of distinction

while it's early, he's off to an OK start. .253 .348 .380 .728 with 7 walks to 14 Ks in his first 19 games / 92 PAs. Brooklyn is a pitcher's park and the team has a .601 OPS, so his .728 (currently good for 4th on the team), is solid enough. The K rate, 15.2%, also, not bad. But he's a 23 year old, 2 years older than league average.
