Like this pick. Won't cost anything and gives a solid college performer a shot.

If you are going to take Seniors at least take guys like this who have performed at a high level. No problem with this pick 16th round, Snypes sounds like a bit of a throw away pick though.

I mean I'm down for a senior who can throw 95 too but yeah.

Gonna be fun watching 7 lefthanded hitters in Brooklyn.

Who was the guy they took who was the downright BAD college player? Was that Strom? Something about his leadership they thought would be good for BK? That is the only real "wasted pick" - otherwise, its just other people's money so who cares - come one, come all.

Occassionally these guys turn in Kaczmarski's or Taijeron's, who still may never make it but who at least as a performer in AA/AAA makes you think he's got a chance to potentially do something for you if you needed to call on them. Thats more than most middle round guys ever become.

Tucker Tharp?

His senior year was OK, but he had bad stats before then.

Thing is, a 30th round pick is irrelevant, so, why not draft a guy based on his character. 15th round - not so much.

Tucker was a good athlete. I think he played football too so there was some physical projection. He wasn't just a throw-away pick, there was some athletisism to dream on.
