Not sure my math is right, but . . . close enough. They try to sign Labas but the money isn't there. They also sign most of the day 3 college guys, certainly all the early ones. None for over 125.

020 Peterson $2,994,500 -- ($2,994,500)
059 Vientos $1,094,700 -- ($1,400,000)
097 Brodey $553,200 -- ($500,000)
127 Dibrell $413,100 -- ($363,100)
157 Winaker $307,800 -- ($250,000)
187 Renteria $237,600 -- ($20,000)
217 O'Neil $186,200 -- ($50,000)
247 Cobb $153,400 -- ($10,000)
277 Chadwick $139,700 -- ($10,000)
307 Villines $132,300 -- ($20,000)

Total -- $5,617,600 --- ($594,900)

Guesses outside of round 10

11th round -- Jack Schneider -- $250,000
12th round -- Bryce Hutchinson -- $300,000
13th round -- Nate Peden -- $300,000
20th round -- Yadiel Flores -- $175,000
29th round -- Liam McCall -- $200,000

Total -- $600,000 -- (+5,100)

A pinch over, but not by much. Only two I guess I feel low on are Vientos and the 11th round pick.

Doubt Flores gets over. The Puerto Rican third day guys pretty much never do.

Do you think we can sign McWilliams?

Don't know. I think McCall is more likely given he's only a JuCo commit.

I think it makes sense to categorize the third day prep guys:

Will Probably Sign
11. OF Jack Schneider
12. RHP Bryce Hutchinson
13. RHP Nate Peden
20. RHP Yadiel Flores

Will Not Sign
19. RHP CJ Van Eyk
34. LHP Jake Eder

Favor Pick That Will Probably Not Be Offered
38. 3B Daniel Alfonzo

Will Probably Not Sign
17. RHP AJ Labas

Unsure, Likely PSL Workout Candidate
29. RHP Liam McCall
30. RHP Ian McWilliams
39. RHP Noah Nunez
40. RHP Ronnie Taylor Jr.

Possible Labas makes the drive to PSL as well, but I think whatever is left in the pool will be left to split between whoever looks the best in PSL (or is willing to sign for the cheapest). Given when they were picked, I'd think McCall and McWilliams have an advantage over Nunez and Taylor.
