Some quick-hitters from National Showcase. Bobby Witt Jr keeps flashing his rounded game. Ran an easy-plus 6.4 in the 60, above average to plus 92 across the infield, all while hitting 100mph exit velocity.

Jerrion Ealy is a two sport freak who turned in a record 6.13 plus-plus time, while also throwing 96 from the OF. We will see how the bat develops, buy obviously he will get a lot of leeway in that regard given his dual focus.

Right below Ealy in athleticism is CJ Abrams. Lightning quick SS with a projectable frame.

Rece Hinds hasn't run yet, or not posted, but the kid is a bruiser in the Manny Machado mold. 101 exit velos and 98 across the diamond (beats Correa at the same event). He holds the weight well on his 6'4" frame, so he should get the shot to stay at SS, but one of the top offensive profiles, 3rd is a nice fallback.

Some of the arms I like didn't light up the radar gun like I hoped. Hunter Barco and Matthew Thompson are very highly rated, but held low-90s. Something to keep an eye on.

This is something Daniel Espino had no problem with. Hit 98 on the gun and has room for growth at 6'3" 200.

Brennan Malone and tyler Owens both hit 96, and our boy Jack Leiter hit 94.

In line for pick #5 as we speak.

Workin on up. Don't think this class will have the depth of the '18 group, but the top 5 to 10 should be pretty loaded.

I don't think there is anyway this team call fall far enough to get the number one pick. I see us around 8 to 10. I would like to target Josh Jung the 3rd baseman from Texas Tech . Real good hitter and real good defensively.

We’ve already *fallen* to a tie for the 7 pick.

We will be top 3 when all is said and done.

Top 3 might be hard. Baltimore, KC and the Whitesox are all below .340 Mets are currently .408, #5, just below the Marlins and just ahead of the Reds. I think the 4-7 maybe 4-8 range is most likely cause I don't think we're as bad as we've been. A top 3 pick feels like a reach to me. I'd be happy with 5 or 6 though.

At this rate, #4 is very realistic. It's going to be hard to crack the Top 3 though.

If we sell everyone, could be. As explosive as Bobby Witt Jr is, the momentum that Rutschman has built during the CWS has got to have catapulted him into 1A vs 1B at the very least.

If he makes the jump to Larnach-level power next year, I'm not sure what anyone could really do on a showcase circuit to bump him.

I said before, the top of this draft could be special, but between Rutschman's coming out party, and Hankins potentially going to school for year...... wow did things escalate in a week or what?????

They are 5th now. They have a real change to get to 3. I don't see Baltimore or KC moving from 1-2 any time soon.

You’re right, those are some incredible ball clubs. But we’ve been pretty fantastic since week 3 of the season. I think we can outperform just about anyone going forward. Lots of baseball left for us to smoke even the best of the best

I'd prefer to keep Thor and Degrom and make a habit of this..... but that's for another thread.
