Credit to the Mets. While I don't know how many, if any at all they'll sign, their last four picks are, by far, the most interesting any one team has combined to pick in those rounds.

Do the Mets go with Justin Fall one of these rounds? Local kid from Toms River currently at JUCO. Slated for Arizona State though, so buying him out could be too expensive.

I guess Dyer isn't eligible. MLB.com does have him listed so it's weird. I know he redshirted the 2018 season after a transfer but that should make him available afaik.

Sounds like he wanted a certain $ amount or was going to return to AZ for his Jr yr and hope to get into one of the top rounds next yr.

OK, the Jays just took a kid named Miguel Obeso who weighs 280 lbs. That has to be a joke, right?

Reflections: I feel really good about at least 7 or 8 of these picks. Of course there were a few I would have liked to get that we missed but all in all, that's more than I normally like and this is w/o digging any deeper. So, pretty positive early impression.

The best part of Twitter is seeing every player intends to sign.

Personal fave Bryce Ball to the Bravos.

Absolutely killing it for Atlanta. They got him in round 24. He turned 21 yesterday, so he's definitely a bit old for the Appy League, but he's slashing .373/.472/.831 with 7 HR, 6 2B, 11 BB/9 K and 21 RBI in 17 games.

Was there ever an explanation as to why they kept drafting so many $10K bonus seniors after the 10th round? There was really no need to keep doing that and there were certainly more interesting players to be drafted that would have signed for $125K instead of wasting those picks on Kennie Taylor, Dan Goggin, etc.

$$$$$ - While MLB limits spend in the first 10 rounds... Mr Wilpon likely limits spend on the draft overall.

As fun as only taking high school lotto tickets would be, every system needs org depth. Brooklyn, Columbia, and St. Lucie are gonna need bench players this year and next, too.
