Metro, now I understand-- it's Keith Law, who has been very public with his dislike of Rice players, including slanderous (and totally untrue comments made in his column earlier this year) about Coach Graham, Cole St.Clair and Rice pitchers. Show me anybody else's list that has Savery outside the first round (and most have him in the Top 15) and St.Clair nowhere to be seen in the first 3 rounds? Keith Law is a total jerk. Has he even bothered to notice how poorly Brackman has pitched this season? Simply having a "flat" upper 90s fastball does not make you a top pro prospect.

(13) Michael Main and (19) Madison Bumgarner are two HS pitchers to keep a close eye on.

(15) Michael Burgess will have future 50 HR's seasons in the majors.

Savery at 50 is a bit of a surprise to me as well.

It's a total joke. And no Cole St.Clair, who has fully recovered from the bicep strain injury he suffered in the weight room over the holidays. He's got Josh Fields at #33 and no St.Clair? Yeah, right.

Anyone know about some of these guys and who would you like to see end up drafted by us? I think we have 5 in the top 100 and 6 through the third round.

if i counted right

its actually 4 out of the top 100

but i'll count the 5th one because its only 1 pick after

these are the mets picks: 42, 47, 79, 95, 101 picks

so if we use this guys top 100 as a template

these are the kids we have a shot at:

for the 42nd and 47th picks

Farris or Sogard should be on the Mets radar w/ one of their picks out of the 1st 100... Sogard has suprising pop and is a really polished hitter... but Farris is just as well known for his fielding as his potential to be a top of the order hitter...

Vols C JP Arencibia hasn't had a real stellar season and it wouldn't surprise me if he fell out of the first round.

I'd take Joe Savery in a second! Whether it's his pitching or his hitting!

I wouldn't be surprised if Wieters fell a bit. The D'Rays, Cubs, and Royals all need pitching. My dad's Pirates also never seem to take big time college hitters, unfortunately. I can see him going to DC or Baltimore. They both need a player to come up their farm system fast to get fans excited about something. DC already did a similar thing by taking Ryan Zimmerman.
