I went to the ER to take a look at a (pimple like) lump I had on my inner thigh that was painful to the touch. I have a little lump in my nose as well. Doctor took a look at it and brought in some other doctors/nurses with masks to look at it. told me it was MRSA. Prescribed me Bactrim DS and am taking 2 dosages a day. I went to canada on business the past couple days and been back since this morning and have red spots all over my body and my temp is a bit raised at 100.3 (oral). A little weaker than normal with the temp raised but wasnt sure if the Antibiotics are working slowly or if they arent working at all. I have an appointment tomorrow afternoon with my GD.

Anyone else ever have this and know how long it takes to go away? The painful lumps are shrinking so thats a good sign. Just looking to find out if I should go as its a very very long wait or just wait it out a bit.

I have not had MRSA but have had a couple of players unfortunately come down with it and have never seen a reaction like this.

Just been discharged from hospital. Alerg reaction (sjs) is what i had. Bactrim was the culprit. Had i not gone in to get this taken care of, doc said it could have been fatal. They pumped me full of antibiotics iv, steroids and alergy capsules. I think i put in like 2 lbs. Btw i went to urgent care because i was having trouble breathing and was vomiting green and they wouldnt accept me because my card expired. Went to the er from their. Doctor told me to never ever use that med again. Basically stay awau from sulfas. Still cant get over how oakwood urgent care wouldnt help me. Im fine now. Cant say the same about the mets.
