We have a larger majority of women on this site than most any other sports team specific message board on the internet. There are mothers and daughters, wives and girlfriends of both users and players participating in the discussions on NYFS. What you post is a direct refection of the values of NYFS.
Who player's relative or gf/wife do you think post here?
Many of the minor league ball players and some of the big league. I would prefer to not point out who they are - I feel like if the individual relative wanted everyone to know who they were, they'd have introduced themselves as such.
Remember, this is really one of the few places they can follow their fiance/bf/son's minor league careers, not many games are televised or even on the radio, and often times they don't live in the same place. At NYFS they get rundowns on the affilitiate game as its in play (minor league threads) with real fans and not just the sterile milb game logs; they can talk minor league baseball with fans who have actually heard of the players and follow the teams; and most importantly, they can be a part of their fiance/bf/son's life here even if they can't relocate with him.

i understand...i was just curious to see if those individual(s) have let themselves be known to the forums since im not here every day and sometimes i dont have a chance to even visit this site for a week or two so i wanted to make sure i never missed anything about this subject. i definatley understand the situation about following their MiL careers as i come on here a lot and the first thing i check out is the minor league thread from that night.

yeah, seriously. That's why we enforce the rules as we do; that's why we have the "respect the players" rule; and that's why we clean up the "so-and-so sucks" posts. I think a lot of people would be surprised if they knew how many players and their families actually frequent the site.
