Sean Landeta's whiff on the punt in the 1985 playoffs giants vs Bears.
Todd Pratt's home run for 2 reasons, was at the game and there was about a fraction of a second where it seemed everything just stopped as people couldn't tell if Finley caught it, then the explosion and my first experience of Shea SHAKING...I was excited and scared as hell all at the same time. Those 2 moments in a matter of 5 seconds was so cool.
Laettner's shot against Kentucky
Ray Allen's shot against G'town in the Big East final, was at UCONN when it happened and just an unbelievable moment as the entire campus just exploded at the exact same moment

Here's another one that got overshadowed by the series as a whole: remember the double play at home plate due to horrendous base-running by the Dodgers in Game 1 of the 2006 NLDS?

This isn't an especially beautfiul goal. It's pretty darn good but really it's only memorable because of its context and pretty much only to French people and Bulgarians.
This was the last game of the '93 World Cup qualifiers. If France ties or wins, they go to the World Cup. If Bulgaria wins, they go.
The country was in mourning the next day. I didn't go to school. Lots of kids didn't. I heard a few teachers didn't either. I hadn't watched it since it happened. I just did and it still hurts. The worst part is that the guy who gives the ball up at the beginning of the video when he could've just held onto it and killed time was one of my favorite players.

Tyree/Manning (Manning just as important in that play)
Ventura + Pratt
Benitez first blown save 2001 (even after '99 and '00, I don't think anything was ever more heartbreaking for me sports wise)
4 point play + the running jumper (knicks)
really, a whole hell of a lot more, but those are the biggest ones

I think there's something special about ordinary players making huge plays in the biggest moments.
That brings to minds Endy's catch and Tyree's catch
