I've been a Firefox guy for years, but have been using some Chrome lately, and really enjoying it. I just downloaded the new FireFox beta, and am wondering what browsers you all use.

Chome works much much better for me on Win7.

I was having a lot of problems with Internet Explorer on my office computer a couple of years ago. It was always freezing at the worst times.
One of our IT guys suggested Firefox and I've never looked back.

Were you worried he was waiting for a tip?

No. He already knew me.

Back at the turn of the century, I favored Netscape Navigator
All the memories are coming back. Dial-up modems, getting AOL cds in the mail every few days. Not being able to get online because all the lines were busy around dinnertime. Getting incredible runarounds trying to cancel AOL ("Because you've been such a loyal customer and we don't want to lose you, I'll put you down for the next two months free")

That many people use IE? Wow.
I still like Firefox the best and use it most often. Though in an attempt to be more productive I've been trying to avoid visiting NYFS and some of the other sites while I'm in Firefox. I used Safari as the alternate browser for a bit and now I am trying out chrome which I think I like better than Safari.

How is it possible that many people still use Internet Explorer? It's worlds slower than Firefox and Chrome.
Until Microsoft stops shipping it as the default browser, it will keep its strangle hold on the top spot for a while.
It's up to us to show our parents, co-workers, etc. firefox/chrome. There are hundreds of people (and businesses) that are afraid of change. I just think about the NYC DOE. Every laptop at my school is defaulted to IE. I try and show people firefox and they say, "Oh wow... that's cool." I go back in their room a week later and they're still using IE.
I was using Opera but this thread inspired me to get Google Chrome again. I had it back when it first came out and it was a little buggy. I think they fixed most of it and now it's pretty awesome. Google owns my life for the most part.
