Sandler is still a star. His movies get awful reviews (and I personally can't recall the last Sandler film I enjoyed) but they make money.

He's in two of the worst movies every - Little Nikki and Anger Management - and his other movies range from awful to barely watchable.
Funny People was a decent film, but he was just in it with no writing/directing/producing role. And anything with Eric Bana can't be too bad.
