What are some wacky, delicious sandwiches you've created?

Right now I'm eating a sandwich that consists of:

- Wheat bread
- Lemon hummus
- Canned tuna (no mayo)
- Heaping pile of red onion

Had no idea how it would turn out, but I give it a B+!

One of my kids gave me a tuna and jam sandwich last week. Wacky, but not so good.

This is not a personal creation, but my father used to make peanut butter and bacon on white toast sandwiches for me when I was kid.

Not good for heart health, but quite tasty.

One of the first jobs I ever had was as a short order cook at a lunch counter and I would occasionally make one there for my lunch.

I only met one person who had ever heard of such a sandwich before, but some of my co-workers tried them and approved (usually after having made a face when they first heard the ingredients).

Really? Essentially it's just an Elvis Special minus the bananas.

I have to add some historical perspective.

This was before anyone knew the extent of Elvis' eccentricities like shooting guns at TVs and eating peanut butter and banana sandwiches.

I'm 55 years old. I held the cook job when Elvis was still alive. The crazy stuff came out more after he died.

On a more serious note: anything with goat cheese replacing mayo/mustard.

At the risk of turning this into the peanut butter and bacon thread, further research reveals that Mayor Bloomberg is a regular consumer of the sandwich.

A slice of pizza inside a grilled cheese on a toasted everything bagel with butter and Doritos and Sun Chips.
