Happy Birthday to the Greatest! I wasn't alive for any of his fights, however, watching on them on ESPN Classic gave me a love of boxing, especially the heavyweight division. Unfortunately, the heavyweight division is in the dumps, along with boxing, but I digress. On another note, Ali is truly a heroic figure of the second half of the 20th century, serving as a social and individual right's leader, both in this country and abroad. Sadly, Parkinson's has taken much of the Ali we used to know who could "float like a butterfly and sting like a bee," however, what he stands for still resonates now, through the ages, 40 years after he started his crusade, his message rings louder than ever.
