CBS brought in the President of the NCAA for a little halftime interview during the Baylor-Kentucky game. They talked rule changes. Talked a little bullspit. Then they talked about college players leaving college to go pro. Both Jim Nantz and the NCAA President thought the longer players were made to stay in college the better it was for everyone. Easy as that. Make kids stay.
When the game resumed, within a minute of play Perry Jones and Anthony Davis collided in midair. Both players went down awkwardly. Perry Jones looks to have only gotten a nice bruise. But, Anthony Davis was clutching his knee and still is.
Let the kids go. Let them get paid. It is hard to make money and we shouldn't make it harder for them.

That certainly was a scary moment. I thought UK was nuts letting Davis go back out there in a game that was relatively in hand, but I guess he's alright for the final four this weekend. It does seem silly to me to have teams like UK where pretty much all of their starters will be going pro next year go through an extra year of competitive play where they'll face the potential of career ending injuries. Plus, does it cheapen the NCAA brand to have teams full of 1 and dones win the tourney? There is something to be said of earning a college degree.
