Anyone else seen this one yet? I had some time to kill today and the reviews seemed positive, so I gave it a go. The most creative slasher film I've seen since Evil Dead.

Liked it a lot as a fan of the genre but wished it gave more back-story to the eeriness that surrounded the four characters suddenly being different and how guys in the control room get the job versus the other fun options.
I accidentally heard about the role of the director being a special reveal/cameo. I had two possible guesses and I hated that I ended up being correct because I can only imagine what my reaction would be when I first heard the voice.
I liked the unicorn almost as much as the merman. It was like a horror movie Easter Egg bomb drop that exploded during that sequence.
MGM sat on this film for a while cuz they are broke. Had Chris Hemsworth not been cast as Thor nor Joss Whedon (him and director Drew Goddard both thought the marketing for this one was going to be tough to begin with) get the directing job for The Avengers, I can guess this probably would still be in purgatory.
