Never forget....

Sat Jan 07, 2017 1:33 pm

Once upon a time the off topic section was one of my favorite parts of the board, American idol recaps, wrestling boards, the one poster who I can't remember his name but always had some crazy injury, talk of SFC's dating life or lack thereof. Those were the good old days!

Since GibrilWilsonShutsEmDown is now (possibly) in prison (?) this forum hasn't been the same.

He was the guy I followed here most back in 2004 until he (maybe) got arrested in 2006.

Guy had issues but it was awesome how he'd start threads about his personal situations/dilemmas and they would be both strange/bizarre and yet hysterical.

You never knew if he was joking, exaggerating or being 100% truthful.

But it was interesting/entertaining as hell.

I'd visit this General Off Topic forum everyday back then whereas now I may check in every 2 weeks to see if anyone has posted.

BTW- Anyone know if Ed is doing well?

Haven't seen him post in a really long time.

Oh, and the huge Knicks fan who would critique every new Sopranos episode!!

Forgot his name, but he was awesome and the Sopranos thread was great.

Yeah, this forum was pretty good back in the day.

NYFS 1.0 was a hotbed of political threads too.

Yeah, a lot of good threads back then.

TV, music, current events, politics and plenty of goofy stuff too.

Of course the main board was mostly Mets minor league talk back then, which was cool since the big team was unwatchable (Cedeno, Alomar, Mo, Burnitz and all the other 30-somethings playing for a 90 loss team).
