Roger Clemens, 50, has agreed to pitch for the Sugar Land Skeeters of the Atlantic League.

How the Skeeters, located about 20 miles outside of Houston, are in the Atlantic League is an open question, but Clemens and Kazmir will soon be lining up to pitch for Sugar Land.

Incidentally, sorry to report Kazmir is 0-5 with a 7.89 ERA.

Don't forget Josh Pressley, Bubba Bell, and Miguel Negron.

This could be the Mets AAAA Farm Team.....

I'm surprised Kazmir isn't pitching somewhere with a more relaxed approach to marijuana, like California or Massachusetts.

The Kazmir trade was awful but looking back now the premise of the front office that Kazmir was an injury risk due to size turns out to be true.

He also really, really liked smoking pot, by many accounts, which is one theory on why he never put it together (and why he was traded in the first place): http://raysbaseball.co/2010/08/23/sheilds-vs-kazmir-tonight/.

OK, northway, we get it. He likes weed (although he never failed a drug test and was never arrested for possession).

Objection, your Honor: speculative

I'm totally fine with anyone smoking pot. I'm totally fine with ballplayers smoking pot. I object to players smoking before games. In Kazmir's case, saying it hasn't been proven is like saying any number of players weren't "proven" to have used steroids.
